Detecting Avian Influenza Virus in Raw Milk

Since the fall of 2024, avian influenza virus was found in raw milk and in swab samples from cows in several states, DiaVac’s Mobile Testing team has begun to verify our mobile PCR testing capabilities to detect avian influenza Virus in raw milk sample. Recently, we have published an article online and showed that our mobile PCR testing can detect avian influenza virus in raw milk with great sensitivity and accuracy. Our Mobile Testing teams stand ready to be deployed to help farmers in Pennsylvania to fight against the outbreak of avian influenza in the dairy industry.
